My practice is process lead cantered around my own compulsion to draw and the role the process plays within other artist practices. The creation of large floor drawings explore the limitations of using the body as a drawing machine with the natural medium of charcoal being unforgiving of mistakes and repetition giving a sense of honesty within process. These pieces have a very handmade Aura speaking of geometry within organic shapes but also hinting towards the possibility of mechanical reproduction, be it an organic one. The documentation of the process plays a critical part of the viewers relationship with the process and in-turn the final outcome. Be videoing the making I have allowed the viewer to experience the process, leading to a balancing act between process and performance.
